I guess I should start out with my parents receiving Ginny Bee's file. Because we're uncertain about all the rules, I'm not to give out too much information. My parents had been looking at various files of little girls for a couple weeks, but none of them my parents felt comfortable with. Our family did a lot of praying for clarity. One morning, my mom opened up her email to have two available files in her inbox. One of those files was of a little 2 year-old girl with big eyes and a condition my parents had never heard of. So, my mom asked Lifeline to put her on hold while she did research and talked to doctors. Long story short, my parents felt that this little girl was meant to be an Olsen. Two weeks after they first received her file, my mom and dad sent of an LOI for this little sweetheart.
The day after the LOI was sent, my mom and I had a very adventurous journey to Beijing to pick up Grace.
In Beijing, we did a bunch of shopping and eating ate out at a nice restaurant. . .
I said goodbye to Angel.
Anyway, a couple of prayer requests-
- A speedy adoption. Because we are in China, the home study process might take a bit longer than for most people adopting from China. It things go as the social worker says, we are looking at around a year until we bring home Ginny Beth. We know that recently China has been unusually fast with giving LOA, so we are praying that continues and that the home study is written up fast in order to bring home Ginny Bee by around August/September.
- Clarity for the future
Thanks and have a great rest of the week!
